Top 10 Adendum
Here are couple albums that I missed. They deserve to be in my top ten, but I will spare the feelings of the other competitors by not saying who would have been knocked out. I don't need any hassidic reggae artists being mad at me.
Aha Shake Heartbreak, The Kings of Leon
The Fallowill boys are huge in Europe. ("We are loved in Belgium!") This album continues their trek to being one the best American bands around. If you ask me, they outdo the North Mississippi All-stars when it comes to local boys done good. they have a more real sound then Cody and the boys.

Demon Dayz, The Gorillaz
What can I say that has not already been said? There was much made of the departure of dan the automator as the producer. But, then Danger Mouse stepped in and what is wrong with a gut in muse suit I ask you? A fun groovy album. I don't really like the promotion of anime (Hanna-Barbarra rules!). If you want to produce a band of cartoon characters why not Snagglepuss backed by Pixie and Dixie guitar and bass and Jabberjaw on drums. Still a good album though.
Oh, Mister Jinks, you scamp!
Self-titled, The Magic Numbers
This brother and sister crew from Trinidad (much love Dekari!) are putting out some great melodies. Their overnight success is much deserved. The album cover heralded them as the next big thing, and for once all the hype might be dead on. Their sound can be repetitive, but this one loop you will want set on continuous.
