Album: A Ghost is Born

Synopsis: After Yankee Hotel Foxtrot became a watershed moment not only for this band but the music industry the boys in Jeff Tweedy's side project had a choice.(I like to believe he and Jay are just on hiatus from Uncle Tupelo.) They could either kill themselves by trying to top their previous success or scale things down a bit and make the album that was right for them at the time. They chose the latter and produced an album that works without being too ambitious. Would have been higher but there is a twelve minute song that is nothing but buzzes and whirrs that is really annoying.
